Line Picker

Pick a line that fits how you want to play.

Not chasing a Bureau? This is for picking a tech-tree line by feel. Browse by nation or filter by the playstyle you enjoy, and each line tells you its strengths, its weaknesses, how forgiving it is, and which commander fits it. Remember the Legends tech tree caps at Tier VIII; the famous Tier X ships are Bureau projects, shown here as where a line leads.

Line rosters (ships, tiers, branch splits) are read straight from in-game tech-tree captures, all twelve nations. Playstyles are durable archetypes. The commander named on each card is a fit for that line's role, not a captain you are assumed to own: swap in the closest one on your own roster, and tune for the talents you prefer. A few newer-nation identities are flagged for a second look.

Skill curve friendly mistakes rarely delete you · moderate punishes clear errors · demanding low margin or high workload
Tech-tree structure (lines, tiers, branch splits) sourced from in-game captures, June 2026, all twelve tech-tree nations. Playstyle, strengths, weaknesses, and skill curve are archetype-level and stable across patches. The commander row names a captain who fits the line's role, not a captain you are assumed to have: substitute the closest one you actually own, and let talents and personal preference shift the pick. Tier VIII is the tech-tree cap in Legends; "leads to" names the Bureau/Legendary ship a line feeds. Verify the current tree in-game before committing a long grind.
